Front coilover shocks and springs, two wheels, a skinny wheel and tire (for use as a spare), clutch throwout parts, headers, and a bunch of other things.

That could do it. I’ve got a couple more orders from Summit in the pipeline, I expect - things like conrods. The purpose of this order was to get everything expensive that I need to use to determine body “repairs”/improvements so that everything fits like it’s supposed to. The headers, I’ll have to mess with a lot to get them fitted, the wheels are *probably* the right offset for me to use how I want but may require fender tweaking, the spare will *probably* fit where I’m intending to put it, etc. and I need the coilovers to build the upper brackets for them properly and make the car roll.

This order was *only* $1100. Only. Another two wheels from them will be another $220, if I order tires from them that’s another ~$400, rods will probably be like $300, and so on.

True story: I was contemplating doing pickup in store, because most of what I wanted was in McDonough, and between wanting to visit a friend in the ATL and wanting to make a trip to Fry’s Electronics in Duluth, GA, I thought it might make an interesting Do All The Things trip. Honestly, I’ve never had cause to do anything with NPD so far. Most of what I need is either bonkers or eBayable or available through CJ Pony because mustangpartslol. Anyway, for me, Summit is like four and a half hours away, but I know Atlanta really well and have things to do there, so going there on other pretenses and taking time aside to hit Summit is just the sort of thing that makes sense. A pickup at Summit Ohio, though... that’s a ways off. I wonder just how crazy a thing I would have to order to make that worth it.

whoa man don’t buy from CJ Pony Parts, they’re normally crazy over priced. And NPD carries a full array of Mustang parts, that’s why I shop there because mustangpartslol for a Montego! (which is even more LOL than yours!)

They actually even carry date coded parts, i buy the cheaper non date coded option tho.

For what I’ve wanted, I’ve typically waited until a sale, and so far I’ve gotten good prices from them. Not phenomenally good, more in the Rock Auto range, but certainly okay. Steering parts, brake MC, floor pans, all that kind of good stuff has been pretty reasonable.

The operating principle at CJ Pony is that ordinary parts at seeming random are over list, and ordinary parts in special versions (Scott Drake stuff, for example) can be WAY over list... but then they have a sale. They have sales or bundles almost constantly, so the item they usually have for 15% over list ends up 5% under if you wait a month. They’re a bit silly that way.

*caveat: not sure how often they have sales on extreme specialty items. Just stuff like Fox convertible stuff (long story), the aforementioned first gen floor pans, LCAs, brake MC, etc. etc.
